How about:
• a pork or lamb crown roast? Very pretty, and you can fill the center with stuffing for an extra touch.
• Duck or goose is a different poultry choice than turkey to try.
• Cornish hens? Each dinner guest gets their own midget turkey.
• London broil? Beautiful piece of meat, tender and juicy.
• homemade pizza? Don't laugh- some people make it a tradition.
Hope these help!

Roast pork with crackling? You can get joints at M&S and ASDA, I think. Or roast lamb. Pheasant is nice, if rather dry, but too small for a family gathering. Goose is a bit oily but very traditional. Ostrich steaks are sold quite widely now if you want to be really different and are supposed to be healthy.

We had duck the other year, more by accident than anything else because my freezer had died so i had to leave it until the last minute to buy the bird and there were no turkeys left!
It was nice change, but i had to buy 3 because they aren't very big.

Get a butcher to do you a poultry joint of 3 different birds stuffed into each other. It will be a bit expensive but what isn't at christmas?

How about crab, shrimp and/or lobster? You could accompany it with trout, rice, squash and mushrooms and fancy breads.

Also, going the other way, pork roast is good with potatoes,. carrots, onions and mushrooms.

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
