It all depends on what you're using it for. College students more often purchase laptops now. That way they can come and go from campus to home and sometimes to the classroom. But you have to keep a close eye on your laptop and keep it secure. It's one of the top ten items stolen from students. If you're purchasing a computer for home or business use... the desktop is far superior.

Smart *** in me say's a laptop is a computer. I'm thinking you meant laptop or desktop. It all depends on your needs. I say Laptop because it portable, doesnt take up as much space, but you'll pay more then a desktop.
If your gaming I prefer a desk top.
Hope I helped

Desktops have more power to run advanced graphics programs, video editing software, and games. They are also more durable and last longer. However, laptops are portable. Now that I've owned a couple of laptops, I'll never buy another desktop. I like working from the couch, at the kitchen table, wherever.

well it depends what its for but i would have to go with laptop. A fast one. mine is really slow but thats becasue i have a load of stuff on it. You should get a laptop though cause you can take it places. It can do everything a computer can do and more.

It depends on your life style. If you are always on the go and you need something that travels with you- laptop.

If you just want some fun on the net when your chilling at home. Computer.

Towers are usually better, more power for your money, but the mobility of a laptop is nice. I have a powerful tower at home and a cheapo laptop for when I need to work on the road.

Depends on what you're looking for.
If you want a powerful gaming machine, then computer is the way to go
If you want a portable computer, which a lot less power, then go for a laptop.

The regular desktops tend to be faster and cheaper and a better all around deal. Laptops are just for portability.
