There is a twenty two year sunspot cycle that we know of that has an effect on the weather , amongst other things. There may be other cycles of greater periods such as the ice age, which may not have been the first, just the one we know of. I believe nature will reset itself if we leave it alone and stop raping the forest.

I don't have an educated answer, have to agree with you.It's cold over here where I live too.
I curse every time my furnace burns some more oil.
Shoulda watched Oprah today.
That guy who invented the internet (Al Gore) ( ha ha) was explaining global warming just today.
I laughed so hard i almost peed my pants.

Assuming you are asking a serious question, the temperature in any particular winter is not going to tell you much about global warming. There are normal fluctuations between cold winters and warm winters. So one cold winter does not disprove global warming, just as one warm winter does not prove it. What is important is the trend over time.

Global warming is alive and well, thats why last year i had like 20 hurricans in South Florida a lot of them were devestating.
