I know all of these songs. Either Brain Damage, or Stairway to Heaven.

Good luck!

That's not a bad list! I have to admit bias here, I don't know what was in the writer's head for a lot of these, but I have to go with "imagine". I think John Lennon is NOT necessarily saying "this is the way I want things", he is saying IMAGINE if they were this way. How would the world be different if everyone on the planet did that for even a minute or 2?

Of your choices, I'd have to go with Imagine; but consider Gordon Lightfoot's words from the '70's..."Does anyone know where the love of God goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?" How could the value of life be penned any better than it was in "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"?

If I have to pick from your list, I'd go with 'Imagine' by John Lennon. Thats a pretty deep song. Did you know that this was the song that the astronauts chose to wake up to every morning? The ones that were on the shuttle that was destroyed due to a fallen tile on its way back to earth. It's a very moving song. (I think it was the Columbia Shuttle).

I'm a huge Doors fan and "Break on Through" is one of my most favorite songs. But if you're going with the most profound and deepest meaning, I'd have to say "Imagine" by John Lennon.
