My ex had been telling me that I was clumsy and stupid and ugly; basically, a worthless piece of sh!t (his words) etc, etc, and one day I found myself in the kitchen, wondering if he might actually be right! My hands were shaking. I kept dropping everything that I picked up.

OH NO, big wake up call. Time to GO.

I am not the most agile, brightest, or loveliest person who ever lived, but I realized, I am starting to BELIEVE this, and it is MAKING ME SO.

I never used to listen to this from ANYONE. I'd laugh, and walk on. Now, I was starting to wonder.

I left. Never went back. This was about four or five years ago. Sometimes, I still wonder, but, naaaahhh, I'm not buying it. Still walking on. :-))

I now consider myself reasonably attractive, dexterous, and intelligent, like most people. :-))

As time marches on and I grow a bit older I recall the wild child, the forgotten girl and the over worked Mom, now I am at a point to be able to say I love each and every point in my life but I am happy w/who I am and only recall my self at a different time as someone I love but don't miss anymore.

i missed "myself" when i first moved 25 hours from home.no job,getting used to one another(me and hubby),being 21 to go along with that,and not being in my fav. place(the ozarks)but it got better...still sometimes miss how carefree i was.(befor the wars)(my hubby over there for the 2ed time)why you miss yourself?i hope you become happy soon and get where you are what ya wanna be..make sence? i am working on being that way..i also understand what MISERY is saying and agree..growing up SUX

Almost every other day... I still haven't gotten used to myself-- it's like I'm inhabiting anothers mind and body... It's really strange... I still haven't gotten used to my thought process... call me a slow learner, but damn it...
I just want to be a child again when I didn't have trust issues... when everything seemed good... when love was easily given and easily received... Growing up sucks at times.

for a while, like over the summer, i was being incredibly emo over a silly girl, and i was starting to miss myself. i couldn't enjoy anything because i just kept thinking about her and how i would never have her. i just recently got out of that. i'm finally starting to be my old self again.
