1. Try Unplugging both the controller and memory card, then putting them back in

.2 This might make a little more dust on the dist, but it helps: Breath on it so it's misty, then rub it on a SOFT shirt/cloth (Not rough!!)

3. If all else fails, unplugg the whole system and wait a minute or two. Replugg.

This happen to my PS2....the original one...i took it apart tried to clean what I could..Lenses etc...and for some reason it worked...but...my little bro has a PS2..the smaller skinny one i forget what they are called but they are tiny...and i tried the same thing and it didnt work...so if you have a smaller ps2 i think you might be out of luck but if you have a larger one pull out the screw drivers and take her a part and put it back together agian...good luck

the little eye thing could be damaged, that happened to my ps1, old yeah but I dont play video games that much
