ok so i have to argue about why the 22nd amendment is a good idea . if u dont no the 22nd amendment is that no president should serve for more than 2 terms. i have to think of three reasons why it is good . i need one more reason and supporting sentences. i already have 2 reasons that are 1. we would have kings and queens if some one were to serve for may terms and 2. new people well get a chance to be in office

With new people coming into the executive branch of government comes new ideas with them. Ideas that maybe the previous guy and his cabinet might never have thought of. Having that revolving door of new ideas coming in is a positive.

Also, it keeps Bill Clinton from being able to run for president again!!! LOL

The 22ND amendment is a good idea because it gives the people power in government. If we don't like what the current president is doing during his first term we can vote in a new president. At the end of the President's second term, (if it is the same president who remained in office) we can vote in a new president who may have fresh insight into current problems. Limiting the office of the President to two terms gives the people power.
It also limits the power of the President when it comes to interpretation of the law. The President appoints judges. The judges have the power to shape a nation based on their interpretation of laws, or based on their ideas about the relative nature of interpretation of laws. By relative nature of laws, I mean judges change laws based people's ideas or even other what other countries are doing. If a President remained in office for four terms, he would have the chance to pick more judges. He could bring before congress judges that are appealing to him. The judges then would establish laws or interpret law in close to the same way the President might would.
Hope this helps.

The only idea I have is kind of like your second idea...
It's that if there wasnt the 22nd amendment a president could get re-elected every election, leading to lifetime presidency. And the US is a democracy so you cant allow that because every one needs a chance (which is your second idea...)
I really cant find anything else sorry

If a president was allowed to serve more terms it could lead to corruption within the government. Such as the republicans teaming up to keep the president in office because he is buying weapons from a company that they own. That is very similar to your first reason. That's the best I came up with. Hope it helps...

I pretty much had the same first answer as you. If they serve very long, everything will be how they want it and the nation will revolve around them. I'd say really elaborate on that statement and come up with a smaller one. maybe something about how more opinions would be viewed with more presidents rotating through the office.
