Should I eat the donut or the apple pie first?

First donut, then pie. I have my reasons.

don't worry i know how you feel.
well first of all, it depends what kind of donut it is. example:
if its any kind of chocolate, eat it first, the chocolate will have a stronger taste, and the first bite of apple pie is always the sweetest, so therefore it will mix best with the sugar left in your mouth.
a plain or just glazed donut you should eat afterwards, so then you'll still get the full effect of the apple pie.
i would say the same for and apple cider donut, because they are very filling, and usually by the time you are done with half, they get kinda bland.
this also applies for the pie,
if its the kind where the apples are cut smaller making the whole thing more squishy and sweet, eat it first. its not the most pleasant thing to have in your stomach or mouth last.
but if the pie is filled with big, crisp slices of more of a green apple, eat after. and my personal suggestion would be to have a thin slice of some sharp cheese with this last. it will bring out the taste.
and anytime you eat the more sour or less sweet food last, it leaves you feeling more refreshed than the other would probably have done.

Why wait a day...
apple pie first then donut... apple is more filling and you'll have no need to eat for the next 2 to 3 hours.
