Does anyone know what the little dot on the lowercase I (i) is called? U get best answer if u get it right!

The dot over the lowercase 'i' is called a tittle.

My teacher didn't tell us she just said "dot your i's and cross your t's. It could be a tittle it could be a little dot.

It's just on there because when people wrote with a fountain pen a drop of ink fell on the paper since less ink was used to make the lower case :) j/k, idk what it's called.
