I was thinking about doing the "two middle name" thing... like Stacy James Robert, or Stacy Joseph Robert.

If you use 2 middle names it looks like you are trying to compensate for a crappy first name. Just use your 2 middle names and forget Stacy for a boy. Kids can be cruel and teasing will happen. I know you can't prevent every possible bad thing your kids will go through, but why give him strike one on the day of his birth?

I have a male cousin named Stacy, and i know he did not like the name much. He is in his late 30's now and still doesn't like the name much. Stacy sounds typically more female to me as well, but there are a lot of names out there that use to be used for just males, now being used on females, and female names being used for males. I think if you truely love the name and there is just no other name, its your decision but the name sounds more female in my opinion. Good luck!!

Yea Stacy for a boy could pass as a good name, but not through the boys childhood, other kids will be making fun of him then you got to answer to that.

Report in 15 years. Young boy named Stacy Roberts speaks (in that gay faggish voice) "Yes, I always knew I was gay, I'm thinking about getting a sex change. Since my name is Stacy I might as well live up to it." *rubs man nipple* "Don't you just love my pink shirt and these shoes, I never thought I could find some that matched. You silly goose."

Don't name your boy Stacy, the kids nowadays are mean. No, I'm not against gays, I just don't like fags.

I actually have a friend named Stacy and he is a Very successful man. Nobody ever beat him up because of his name- he was just a cool guy to be with- even as young kids! Do what you want- he's your kid right?

I've heard that before. Its not very common but I dont think its bad. They got the name Ashley for a boy and Taylor. I think the name stacy is just as universal! Whatever works for you!
