Luck is just a word to describe when unexplainable good (or bad) happens. It works as a concept, but not in items, like so-called 'lucky rabbits feet'. Not lucky for the rabbit, eh?

I believe that sh**it happens...it happens and that's the way it is. I don't believe in destiny, luck, or anything else that seeks to explain the unexplainable, exactly for that reason. If luck were real luck, then it would only ever happen to an elite few, but many people claim that they have been "lucky" at least at one point or another...maybe the question is more economical than people realize...but then again, I'm a realist and an Agnostic, so what the eff do I know?

i do but dont.... i have had bad luck if you wanta call it that for 4 years straight, im waitng for the good luck when i get good luck i will believe in it. but the other side is i think its all choice in the end. best example i have at this moment is i was hit by a drunk driver in a stolen truck, revoked license and he hit my car and almost killed me but if i wasnt on that road or if he wasnt in a stolen truck or drunk it wouldnt of happened there are things that add up to the so called luck. am i lucky to be alive according to docotors and most people around me i am very lucky, but i dont see it that way. i dont have anything to say yes i believe in luck wish i did so i guess as of now i dont really believe in luck

"Although the demarcations between chance and luck are subtle and shifting, chance tends to be viewed as a more neutral term describing random, unpredictable occurrences than luck, where an evaluative dimension is added. Chance opens the door to luck. When the chances are against success and it nevertheless occurs, you are lucky. Conversely, if the chances favor success and nevertheless it fails to ensue, you are unlucky" ( Rescher, 1995 , p. 42).

I am a firm beliver in the fact that everything happens for a reason. God already has a plan laid out for us. Luck is just a figure of speach. We all learn from heartbreak and turmoil in our lives to allow us to make better decisions and a happier life.

I believe in complete randomness and chaos (entropy). Sometimes it results in a good outcome, which is the same thing as luck.

No such thing as luck...I wish.
Things just happen for a certain purpose, and everything has that. I do believe God answers prayers, and we call them blessings! :-)

There is no such thing as luck, just actions that bring about good consequences, or bad, in that case.
