Miracle on 34th St. In NYC a man that is the Macy's santa claims he really is, and is put on trial cuz they think he's crazy. A wonderful feel good, spirit of Christmas movie
Elf - Spirit of Christmas, hilarious, very good movie.
White Christmas - my classic all time fave.

I like the above suggestions but what about those Christmas time romantic comedies such as:
Sleepless in Seattle
While You Were Sleeping
You've Got Mail
Then, there's my new favorite animated Christmas Story:
Olive the Other Reindeer-voices by Drew Barrymore and Dan Castanella (Homer Simpson)-it's so funny and witty it takes a few times to catch all the humor.
Oh yeah,
My husband's favorite is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (Steve Martin and John Candy)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned "One Magic Christmas". It's about a mother of two who has lost her Christmas spirit...her life is in the gutter, so an angel comes to Earth to try and help her out. This is the only movie I have ever seen that can make me cry, which is saying a lot.

It is the Christmas Story with the kid who wants the gun and everyone tells him he will put his eye out.
I also like the Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen

For great laughs and alot of fun "A Christmas Story". For heart-warming, get in the mood story "It's a Wonderful Life". I love both of these movies and watch them every year, sometimes more than once.

Very new, English, "Love Actually" With Hugh Grant, Colin Firth. Very good movie, very into the Christmas spirit, without the Santa Claus stuff.. If you're into that.
