Well sometimes, i just tell them the truth but not in a mean way. I will say umm i'll talk to u later because right now is not the time. I may use excuses when i'm really not interested in that conversation. You know you really don't have to lie about it. Be real and they will understand because they go through the same situation. Think of excuses to end it. If the other person didn't get the hint, then I would tell them to just shut up already.

I may tend to go on to much and so I am sure that others would rather I sometimes just shut up but I would (if confronted by myself) try to think up something and end the conversation.

Politely excuse yourself for the restroom, or "Oh there is so and so I have been trying to get in touch with them. Would you excuse me for a min.
Than go and never go back!!

If you like them but you can't be completely honest with them change the subject.If you hate them tell them 2 shut up if you are really close to them tell them 2 shut up 2 they don't care they love you anyways
