Love is more powerful than hate which is actually a response to stimuli. Those that practice meditation will be aware of this. The energy to hate must be refuelled constantly in order to keep it going but love on the other hand is a fuel.
It may seem in our often violent culture that over-reacting and being outward is deemed powerful. It takes no strength to hate but wisdom and power of the utmost to love.
Hate is a human created condition whereas what we call love has existed since the beginning of time.
Love creates forgiveness, joy, kindness, wisdom and the outward expression of compassion to others.
Hate depletes the individual and actually repels others.
Try for a day to be very aware of your feelings and see what the response from others will be. Those that forgive and show compassion will attract others because it is like a magnet that draws more energy to it.
Hate repels the energy. That is why love is and will always be more powerful. Hate doesn't actually exist unless we create it.
Try saying to yourself for a whole day: "I love myself and others" as an experiment and see if you have awareness of how light your mind will feel.
There is no strength in hatred and that is understood by all of life's great thinkers.

The world we live in is Hate driven, you just have to look at some of the questions asked on here, but we are born with love in our hearts first and then we are taught to hate, and sadly that is the most powerful emotion that drives us today.

I have to say that hate is a more powerful emotion than love because alot of people love each other but hate is strong and once you say it it can't be taken away and that's a fact

No of course not. Love is ALL Powerful and NEVER fails. Hate has no power over love.
When have you seen a person cuss someone out and saw the recepiant of those hate words bless the cusser, smile and do good for them and the person kept cussing. Never! Because hate has no answer for Love and cannot answer it. The problem is we have few people that will choose to walk in Love.
If Love is applied it will win everytime.

Yes in a sense.... Love can so easily be tainted, perverted, or otherwise diminshed, or even reversed into hatred, but hatred is pure and primal and is difficult to ignore and its almost impossible to make it go away... for evidence of this just look at the Middle East. However the Romantic in me must admit that in its purest form, Love is the most powerful emotion that men or gods possess.

If we give the Devil more power he will get stronger, if we learn to love more, God will gain strength. I know which emotion i find more powerful....Hate is weaker in comparison to love, but hate also 'weakens' us.

Its all a part of our animal instincts.

We are territorial by nature and have to have an adversary. If modern day society controls the human animals natural enemy selection technique then an individual will choose an easier prey - be it another football team or a wife/husband.

Each is balanced precariously, and both depend upon each other to remain in that balance. Too much of either will break the balance, and therefore unhappiness occurs. The one who lives in equality knows success, and the successful strive to sustain both emotions correctly.

I would say they are on the same level as each other because people seem to behave in similar ways when they hate or love someone.
And people do refer to a love/hate relationship!

Yes.
When I loved my girlfriend 3 yrs ago I only wanted to be with her 90% of the time.

Now I hate her I want to be away from her 100% of the time.
