I got a webcam and I get an error message when I plug it in. It says I don't have enough drive memory (but I know I do) and that I should change the BIOS memory settings to turn off cacheing.

If you have to ask how to do this then you need to have a professional computer tech do it for you.

Dude, never, ever frack with the BIOS unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing. Updating your BIOS is tricky business. Be sure you study THOROUGHLY before you undertake that task.

The BIOS is a small set of software that operates for about three seconds after you turn on your computer. Screw it up and your whole system is toast and no, reinstalling Windows will not fix it. The BIOS runs even before the operating system takes over.

Reboot the PC, and tap the delete key while it's rebooting, this should put you into the bios. Good Luck
