I think (having no children myself yet) that the best time to tell them is when they ask. They inevitably will come to you and ask if you are Santa, or if Santa is real, or whatever. I think that's the best time to explain things to them.

Don't tell them let them ask you first and figure out for yourself if their are old enough based on the friends around them.

Don't tell them let the kids @ school tell them and they will ask u if its true and you'll admit that it is true but say : you'll still get presents.
