Lots of people get stressed at Christmas time because of the pressure brought about by advertising agencies who insist you buy your mother a new BMW to match her new diamond encrusted key ring. People get over it don't ya fink!
If it were made simplier and easier - that's clever - why don't we all make a rule to buy no presents over, say, $15, and to keep the festivities simple and more about how you really feel about your loved ones - wouldn't that make Christmas a really great time even for the Grinch and all the other party poopers out there!

Ebeneezer Scrooge, from Charles Dickens' Christmas carol.
He refused to give his clerk, Bob Cratchit a Christmas bonus (if I remember rightly) making his family's life very unhappy (he had a crippled son, Tiny Tim). The ghosts of Christmas past and future came and showed Scrooge his life - and how he had become so miserable. He ended up embracing Christmas.

I do.
It's stressful and phony. The shops are filled with junk, and the so-called music they play is nauseous. It's a rampage of commercialism and overspending with the birth of Christ used as an excuse for these excesses.
Christ was born in August, so why do people celebrate it at the worst time of the year. Wouldn't a picnic be much more fun?
Bah, humbug!
But for those of you who like it, Merry Christmas!

Christmas sort of sucks this year since my parents decided to go on a cruse from the 18th to the 23rd. i live n new England and there's always a snow storm so i probably won't be spending ANY of my holidays with them . . . =[
i say, people, celebrate Christmas because it's the best time of the year !

I like Christmas (the recognized birthday of Jesus... whether he was actually born on that day or not)
