Don't quit your job. Ask for time off or leave of absence while you figure out your daycare issues. Call your local social service office and tell them your situation. Ask your co-workers for help. Sometimes networking with friends and family can help you find someone to watch your child and be able to work. Good Luck

get child care and get in the game....unemployment is not for voluntary situations and it takes a long time to even get it. also, you cannot get it unless you are able to work and you have to prove that you've been hunting for a job which you won't be able to do with a child. Go to a daycare and keep your job. stop acting like an irresponsible boob!

You must do everything to preserve your job before you quit, request leave of absence, ask your boss for any options possible. The unemployment board will take all this in to consideration if you must quit.
Good Luck.

Don't quit. You can only quit for cause. You can go to the welfare office and ask for child care. My state does that. I would call my employer and ask if there is any child care they know of because you have none. Work it out somehow. If you quit and didn't try they don't have to help you.

Prove that it was a hostile work enviroment leaving you no other alternative.
You need to show examples and have documentation as a back up. A friend of mine did this once and got paid for full year. Don't you love democracy?

You cannot get U.I.C. if you quit your job unless you have a very good reason and then you would still have to pay a penalty. Try and get them to lay you off for a month.

Probably not. You can't usually get unemployment when yuo quit. It is considered voluntary. Contact your local social services, you can probably get state paid daycare.

Don't think so. You're gonna have to get fired. That shouldn't be so hard if you put your mind to it. But, you can't get fired for not showing up or being insubordinant or you likely won't get your benefits. Otherwise, go nuts. Cuss out a customer or something. Use your imagination. It'll be great.

Depends on your jurisdiction. Ask the local office without giving your name.

I know its a long shot - but why don't you file for a leave of absence with your boss?
And why no child support?? You are entitled to it.
