the least u could pay for a present was 20 dollars....... its a fast food resturant that i work at..........we get paid miniunm wage which is 5.15. I could not afford it. What do think they think of me because i didnt participate

Who cares what they think. You are smart to stay within your own budget. Good for you for sticking to your guns.

How odd....every place I've worked has put a $10 or $15 MAXIMUM on gift exchanges. I've never heard of putting a minimum!

If you can't afford it then they need to understand that...but if they can't then that's too bad for them. If they want you to participate then they need to give you a raise!

It doesn't matter what they think. What's done is done and over with. This is an unreasonably high price for a gift at work.
