Donkey Kong not playable?

Does anybody know why DK became not playable since mario party 5 (excluding the super duel mode)?

Yes I know about DK spaces. But is there a reason why he's not playable? I think he's quite popular for not having him playable.

He became the special feature on every board. Haven't you ever landed on the DK space? in mario party 5, 6 or 7?

they didn't make it compadable
