America started out as a bunch of imigrants, people from many nations. Now we all consider ourselves one nation no matter what ethnicity or ancestorial backround

Though America had started out divided as a nation it later emerged united as a nation after a very long struggle

Probably the civil war - that sounds about right. Because even if people disagreed about going to war, the end result was integration.

this could be applied to so many wars....

becuse we have such a great country and everyoen is allowed to THINK and SPEAK what they want to there will allways be differnces of opions and divided parties when fighting a war.

but the most litteral sence of that statement was the civil war..
