Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday primarly honoring African-American heritage. It is observed from December 26 to January 1 each year, almost exclusively by African-Americans in the United States of America.

Kwanzaa is an African American creation to celebrate African culture. It's not celebrated in Africa so being an Egyptian this holiday doesn't apply to you. Did find a quick history of Kwanzaa for you.

Okay, while Kwanzaa is only recognized as a holiday for "black people." They are not the only ones who celebrate it. The point to Kwanzaa is to celebrate who your family is and the history of YOUR family. There are families who celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa. Then you and your family have 8 days to do gifts and spend time together. (If wanted) Oh, and holidays are only as important as you make them...

So Kwanza isn't really for celebration of a religion? Just to celebrate being black? I'm really not trying to be rude, so don't misunderstand me. I'm just confused.

Your right. Kwanzaa was created so that African-Americans and other people of African descent could celebrate their African heritage.

I don't think kwanzaa is even for most black people. I think it's a recently made up holiday. But go ahead and celebrate it if you want. They use a minora, like Hanuka.
