...came back from visiting friends in Spain last Monday, and whilst in London - Streatham, no less - saw a Halal Middle-Eastern restaurant, decorated with fine Christmas tree along with admirable additions throughout the eaterie. Where are the right-wing dears when you need them?
Probably searching London hospitals for Russians with Delhi bellies.

Whoops...sorry! 'Delhi Belly' is a severe case of diarrhoea - a bit like Montezuma's revenge...due to ill-prepared food (kept at
5 - 42 degrees celsius for longer then it should be - etc)...and not just sushi.

Nice one, John R (not!). maybe I should go all red-faced and report you, but I suspect 95% of the time you're on the net, maybe you do possess some level of maturity...hmm?

Nice one, Lord G...my Da's was from Aberdeen and I used to see the few Asian stores take on Christmas with mucho gusto - okay...they're in business, but they never felt vexed about it, for let's face it (as some of us dears keep on saying), they're in a Christian country. See someone gave you a thumbs down. Hope it doesnae break your wee heart!

Fair point, Monty - noticed how odd the Grauniad can be at times, but perhaps my particular 'right-wing dears' moan is on account of how the said media will squeal at something they feel is 'against UK freedom', but will let certain things, just as important pass them by.

Nice, I like it. I bet theres a commercial reason behind it. Not due to the fact they want to celebrate our 'multi culture'. It would be nice if Councils across the UK and company bosses had the confidence to follow suit. I don't think it has anything to do with right wing dears at all, you'll find that many left wing dears are as disgusted. Some things can cross between right and left politics. I think this is one of them.

I think its great, a positive sign of a multi-cultural society as lived in by normal people not the politically correct mob but i doubt the papers will say anything the papers don't like good news, apparently no misery + no problems = no headlines.

You should Pop up to Glasgow .. The Muslim Shopkeepers & Restauranteurs Love Christmas, as us Christians will be spending like there is no tomorrow in their stores, and munching away in their restaurants & take aways - there is Christmas decorations everywhere...Merry Xmas to all..

they're not all like that- let that be a lesson learned. How right you are. I'm glad there are people like you and me who would notice these things. I think it's sweet to to see integration and people accepting a bit of all cultures.
