3 years? Go to WebMD.com and make sure your symptoms match for a yeast infection. If you do think that its a yeast infection, you should see a doctor. Thats not an area you want to mess up at such a young age.

Monistat 7 is what doctors recommend. Dont take the shorter versions because the concentrated medication is not what you need for your case, plus, they are not good. Get the one with the little lotion in it too, it helps with the itching, though it will burn a little bit in the beginning cause the area is irritated.
From now on, make sure you eat yogurt everyday that contains 'culture'. I forgot what the name of the culture is (some weird name) but that is what helps you maintain the bacteria under control. I used to get yeast infections all the time but since I started eating more yogurt and pineapple, Ive been much better and don't get them anymore.
Get treated with Monistat (even store-brand are ok too) ASAP if you do have the itchiness, odor and weird discharge to prevent any damage and make sure to eat healthy to keep the hormone levels balanced.
Good luck!

You should go to see a doctor. If you have had this issue for several years and it hasn't gone away on its own you should realise that it won't go away now, and if you don't go to see a doctor you may be putting your health at further risk.
If it does turn out to be a yeast infection the treatment is simple and doesn't hurt a bit. If it turns out to be something else then odds are good that it will be just as simple to treat. But you should go get tested for whatever is causing your problems just to be sure.
Good luck.

Do you know for sure that its a yeast infection? Could it possibly be an STD? Get monistat 7, and it will go away.

okay, three years? A yeast infection and bacterial infections usually clear on their own..monistat and other things speed up the process and help you deal with discomfort. Go to the gyno if you are sexually active bc you could have an std, but you are fourteen, it is prob. puberty.

3 years? Sounds like you need to go to the doctor, because 3 years is a very long time, so I would suspect that it is not yeast infection. Good luck....(talk to your mom!)

if it is a yeast infection it won't go away on it's own. and i don't think anyone could stand one for that long you need to go see a doctor to see what is really wrong.
