Okay so I wanted a new phone for my birthday. I couldn't get one because my contract wasn't up. That was 5 months ago. Today my mom's phone broke so she had to buy a new one. The phone she bought was buy one get one free. She gave the other phone to my brother. Okay, so before you say it I know that its a whiny question. Now considering that I haven't done anything bad lately nor has he done anything good AND I asked for a new phone for my birthday, is that fair.

We both already had phones. My front display screen was broken so I asked for a new phone for my birthday.

She renewed her contract I think. We're all on the same plan. I'm 15 -- he's 16. So yes he is older, but we both kind of need one.

You don't say if your brother had a phone already or not. That's a factor.

Also, how old are you? Do you have a job? If you make some financial contribution to the phone, I could understand that.

I'd say it's fair...

Your contract wasn't up. You have a phone. Seems simple.

As the song says... You can't always get what you want. If you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.

Your contract isn't up so that means you have a phone right? Does your brother have a phone? If your brother doesn't have a phone and this phone that your mom gave him was one for him to have, then yes its fair. If you and your brother both had a phone and he got one when you were the one that asked, then no its not fair.

He probably asked for it first. And if you want a new one, you don't need to get a new contract, just go buy a new one. Your provided will register it.

yea and no, if your brother doesnt have one, then yea, he can, and if you were the one who broke your phone in the first place, yea, it really is fair, but if all i am saying isnt true, then yea, it isnt fair.

Well she gave it to him didnt she? He probably claimed it before you. He probably saw it and asked for it before you did. I think its fair..
