It sounds like your condo allows bikes to be in the parking lot other times during the day. What's different about the hour of the day. Very odd. I would park it on your patio. The rules are no parking in the parking lot overnight, nothing is mentioned about on the patio overnight. Never park it inside your living area. In a garage that's fine but not in your living area. Gasoline is flamable and a simple spark from anything could result in a disaster and personal injury to you and / or your wife.

I wonder why they don't let you park it in the lot? If you buy a condo and it comes with a driveway or a place to park your car, then you park whatever you own, right? If an insurance company insures your condo and it comes with a parking spot , then your car or bike should be covered under your home owner's policy. Maybe your condo has different rules? I'd look into this, maybe your car won't be covered either? I see nothing wrong with parking it on a patio, lots of people do this in the winter. Why would your neighbors object? It's none of their biz!

Aside from all that has been mentioned before, another problem is possible. Most homeowner's insurance won't cover keeping gasoline or other major flammables inside the house. They allow exemptions for garages, etc. but not in the house. Depends on whether they want to consider the "patio" part of the "living area" of the house when it comes time to pay for the damage that your "burning bike" did to the entire condo block. :-) Of course the odds of that happening are very small, but still insurance companies look for anything they can to get out of paying. Want to see an agents face go white, show him your dirt bike in the living room. :-)

Me, being me...would park it right out front in the yard...I'd pull in about 2 am louder than hell piss in my front yard and toss out a beer bottle after I parked. I might even do a burn out on the street.
But that all depends on how much you want the place or if you want to keep your wife happy. But I also wouldn't live in a condo or community that wouldn't allow bikes in the area...that is just stupid.
I've seen places like that though...just never knew why anyone would live there (except old people who can't do things around the house for themselves).
More power to ya for putting up with living like you do. I myself, told my wife that before we got married that "if the bike goes I'm going with it...so don't even ask me to sell it". And she wouldn't she knows that that is me and the reason we met also.

I used to park mine on the patio or park it inside. It was a pain going in and out of the house, but I wouldn't take the chance on someone stealing it. I never had a problem with it being in my apartment.

Perhaps there is no overnight moto parking because of possible damage by the kickstand. My bike once made a hole in my father's ashphalt driveway (sorry dad!), so then I put a small flat piece of wood under the kickstand. It would't hurt to find out why there's no overnight parking. Maybe you can talk the property owner into a solution.

Park inside or on your patio and cover it with a bike cover. Its safe as long as you are not leaking gasoline . Keep a low profile.

I'm sure there is a local fire ordinance which prevents storage of motor vehicles that close to the dwelling. On top of looking "tacky" on your patio in view of your neighbors, in case of fire the fuel in the bike will cause BIG problems.

Alright . For us living in Malaysia , we can park it anywhere , but for your case , its good enough to park it anywhere that you think is safe . For extra safety , use a disk brake lock or chain-up your motorbike . That is my opinion .
