She doesn't try to impress anyone, and does what she likes and is interested in, be it baseball, fixing cars, or drinkin' beers with the guys.

Well, I suppose I would. I don't know you well enough to say with certainty, but I imagine YOU know yourself enough!
Hmmm, definition of a tomboy. That's hard. I know lots of women who are smart, confident, self sufficient, strong (physically and emotionally) and sassy. They are a mixed bag of ultra feminine all the way to tomboy. I don't think that you could say that those are deciding factors.
I think a tomboy is generally all of those things, but is also a little more willing to not use her "feminine charms" in day to day life. I know I'm not saying this right, and I know I'm probably pi$$ing people off, but it's hard to define. A tomboy cares about her appearance, she just has more important things to worry about.
sheesh. I don't know. I have a few ideas, but I might get shot for them, so I'm going to leave it alone. And no, it isn't that all tomboys are lesbians.....but there's something about a butch (who is lesbian) and a tomboy (who is straight) that is very similar......sooooo hard to explain.

A female who is more interested in the males field of sports ,
hobbies , activities and not so much into the frilly, or regular girly
type of life.Some women grow out of this phase and some don't
Most women have a little tomboy in them but are really all woman.
with those sexy blue stockings of yours, I would say no-way to being a tomboy for you.

A girl who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty, don't care for all of the girly crap, wears jeans & a simple T-shirt everyday, and likes to hang out with the guys, and not try to impress them.
You are probably an inbetween of a tomboy, and a girly girl.

I think that a tomboy is a girl who doesn't dress all glamy and "pretty in pink" but in a relaxed loose fitting kind of way. Tomboys DO wear girly things but they are most comfortable in a sweatshirt and jeans or a t-shirt and sweatpants. I am totally a tomboy.

I climbed trees and caught frogs along with my brothers, when I was younger. Now, when Im not working, I like jeans, and when I go out, I do dress up and go dancing, but, I love shooting pool... & co-ed softball! So, I guess Ive always been a tomboy!

My definition - a girl who has more masculine physical qualities than feminine. Is that simple enough? hee hee
Tomboy to me is usually a girl who likes to do stereotypical male activities (like sports, physical labor hobbies) ANNND at the same time doesn't dress in a feminine way. Wears her hair straight or no style. No makeup. Doesn't care so much about clothes meaning like there's no style to her clothing selection.

me, most definitley. I wear loose t-shirts, no makeup, baggy pants, I have been a tomboy all my life. But the boys and girls are still comin around, I guess I do it well : )
