Nearly three-quarters of British firms are banning Christmas decorations in the workplace for fear of being sued, research has shown. A new survey found most bosses are scared to put up festive tinsel and Christmas trees because they might offend non-Christian workers

First of all Merry Christmas to everybody - I'm a Muslim- all what is written about Muslims offended is RUBBISH!
I do not have any problems with Xmas, I find it a lovely time with the beautiful decorations in the streets and at work, exchange nice cards, enjoy sweets and cakes at work and with friends. Winter in Europe would have been miserable without a nice occasion like Xmas!
All the stories about offending Muslims is the same like the stupid story in the papers about BA and the cross story. Muslims got no problem with any of these, it is the media want to create more tension and hate among different religions and create more anti Muslims atmosphere!
To ALL: Have a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.
Muslims love Jesus (Islam is another major religion that believing in Jesus is an essential part of it)

Well true or not (this story), it is happening more and more. Children are not allowed Nativity plays in some schools now, in case it offends other ethnic classmates! A village in Surrey has been stopped from putting up fairy lights by the local council for the same reasons. It's a case of PC gone berserk. As the last poster says, lets put the MERRY back into Christmas, after all this is Great Britain, isn't it??

Lets get this clear, no muslims or any other non christians have complained.
This happened during the world cup with the 'they tried to ban the flag' lie.
X sends out an e-mail to 10 people saying 'they are upset by nativity scenes/the english flag'.
Those 10 people get worried and pass it on to 10 more.
The original source gets forgotten.
More people get worried. Nice, well meaning people who don't want to offend anyone.
Before you know it its 'a well known fact' and people are talking about it and its general knowledge so it must be true.
And the Nazi's used the same tactic in WW2.
Wise up, people, no one objects to the nativity scene.
And the only people who use the term 'pc' are the BNP.

ALEX P , - I totally agree with you - "Divide and Conquer" ? Politically Correct NONSENSE - I particularly agree with your comment regarding standing up to the Twisted Bastards - = Who are creating divisions where there are non - Misery for Thousands by an "Unelected" NOBODIES- This so called "Banning of Christmas" because of it being offencive to Muslims is a filthy sinister Lie - None of the Muslims that I know have ever expressed any comments in this vein -- in fact just the Opposite ---- Good Luck to You

Political correctness is the thin edge of the wedge when it comes to justification. The thick end is the law that sanctions war in Iraq based on sexed up dossiers and misrepresentation of facts.
It isn't Christmas that is the issue, it is political bigotry by ill informed individuals who can't tell the difference between culture and religion.
Infact, it would help very much if they could tell the difference between a Christmas Tree and God.

This was put in the Sun this morning (I don't read the paper, I saw it on BBC1), they are even doing a bloody campaign! It reminds me of during the World Cup when they blamed Muslims on not being allowed to fly England flags during the competition - yet flags were everywhere where I was. They are making a mountain out of a molehill and the best way we can fight back is to
NOT BUY THE SUN.

This used to be a christian country but since all other faiths have been allowed to take over we are being dictated to left, right and centre! We are not allowed to follow the faith or celebrations of our country as it MAY offend other faiths, but, we have to bow down to all other faiths and religions so as not to offend them in our country. If these people are so easily offended why settle here in the first place? I am offended too but I dont count do I?

It is ridiculous. People should refuse to go to work until Christmas, in England, a Christian country is celebrated properly!!!
But knowing the push-overs that we are we'll just politely accept it as on of the rules!!
This whole P.C rubbish makes me so ANGRY!!
I agree that, in reality, it does not offend all Muslims, or members of other faiths for that matter, but even if it did we should still celebrate the birth of Christ in our country!
I also wanted to add that those who do not wish to celebrate Christmas properly should not take Christmas day etc off of work!

This is dumb. If anyone is offended by christmas decorations, then they can stay home for a month with the curtains closed. They hurt no one. I dont believe in jesus or any religion. But im fine with christmas decorations.
As this actually happens surely, i can claim that every church, temple or mosque causes me offence and should be torn down.
