Well, that's a good sign that he's still there, which in some casing that means that he loves you and is trying to deal with the problem that is place before him. So, if you truly love him and is sorry for the pain that you've cause just be patience.

The best thing that you can do is talk to him, just don't expect too much. Remember that you did hurt him, so it probably won't be very easy for him to open up again. Give it sometime and he will come around.
