Her body has been found with the rest of her family. There's no reason to assume she survived. I think people just want to involve some mystery with what happened, when in fact, there is no mystery. I'm not sure, but I think the line lived on with her aunt Xenia. Unless she was killed to, or I'm thinking of a different royal family.

For this question you can not get answer but since ask the people who have claimed to be her are not I believe that either Anastasia or Marie were badly injured but not yet dead like the rest of the family so someone might have rescued then and treated them but later could not be saved to they buried the last 2 Romanovs near the rest of the family but not with them because no one would dare to disturb their peace
All in all no one knows what happened yet anyway ask the people who knew are all now dead but there is hope

It´s sad but she was executed in 1918. In 1920 a girl named Anna Anderson, with the same physical features appeared in Berlin, and claimed to be Anastasia Romanov. she said she had survived the gunshot. this coincided with the story of one the participants in the execution, who said that one of the daughters was bad injured and he carried her to the city to be assisted.
Anna Anderson died in the 80´s claiming the was the real duchess Anastasia. later, in 1991 the rests of a family were found near the place where they were killed. Thanks to ADN technology scientifics could identified the bones and confirm those were the rests of the whole family Romanov (including the youngest daughter Anastasia). So Anna Anderson was not the real duchess, but she continued to be a mystery. In order to solve it, scientifics took samples and discovered that Anna Anderson actually was Franzisca Schanzkowska. In 1920, she was working in a factory outside Berlin when she lose the memory. The mystery was solved.

She was assasinated with the rest of the Russian royal family. I believe that the DNA tests that were done several years ago, finally showed that all the Royal family, adults and children, were murdered. Sadly, they were all accounted for, including the Princess Anastasia.

they say there is no proof that she survived the execution. they were in a cold deserted area.
the person who claimed to be Anastasia could have been anyone who worked closely with the royal family.
to bad we did not have the technology that we have today. we could have traced her DNA and compared it to anything from the royal families. (they had hemophilia that runs in families and is carried by the female

she died
History has always assumed that Anastasia was murdered along with her father and the rest of her family during the early morning hours of July 17, 1918 in a sub-basement room in the Ipatiev House (also referred to as 'The House of Special Purpose'), where they were being sequestered during their imprisonment in Yekaterinburg. The extra-judicial execution was carried out by forces of the Bolshevik secret police under the command of Yakov Yurovsky. According to the infamous "Yurovsky Note", an account of the event filed by Yurovsky to his Bolshevik superiors after the execution (not found until 1989). On the night of the murders the family was awakened and told to dress. When they asked why, they were informed that they were being moved to a new location to ensure their safety in anticipation of the violence that might ensue when the White Army reached Yekaterinburg. Once dressed, the family and the small circle of servants and caregivers that had remained with them were herded into a small room in the house's sub-basement and told to wait. Alexandra and Alexei were allowed to sit in chairs provided by guards at the request of the Tsarina. After several minutes, the executioners entered the room, led by Yurovsky. With no hesitation, Yurovsky quickly informed the Tsar and his family that they were all to be executed. The Tsar had time to say only "What?" and turn to his family before he was assassinated with a bullet to the head. The Tsarina, who quickly made the sign of the cross before her, was the next to be assassinated. The tsarina and her daughter Olga tried to make the sign of the cross, but were also killed in the initial volley of bullets fired by the executioners, both suffering gunshot wounds to the head. The rest of the Imperial retinue were shot in short order, with the exception of Anna Demidova, Alexandra's lady-in-waiting. Demidova survived the initial onslaught, but was quickly murdered against the back wall of the basement, stabbed to death while trying to defend herself with a small pillow she had carried into the sub-basement that was filled with precious gems and jewels. The "Yurovsky Note" further reported that once the thick smoke that had filled the room from so many weapons being fired in such close proximity cleared, it was discovered that the executioners' bullets had ricocheted off the corsets of two or three of the Grand Duchesses. The executioners later came to find out that this was because the family's crown jewels and diamonds had been sewn inside the linings of the corsets to hide them from their captors. The corsets thus served as a form of "armor" against the bullets. Anastasia and Maria were said to have crouched up against a wall, covering their heads in terror, until they were shot down by bullets. (Yurosky) However, another guard told his wife that Anastasia had been finished off with bayonets. (Ermakov) As the bodies were carried out, one or several of the girls cried out, and were clubbed on the back of the head. (Yurovsky)
