why is blair trying to double the uk's nuclear weapons, we already have way too many, his excuses are that we need more because of north korea and terrorists, how the hell do you nuke a terrorist? and as for north korea, theve got a couple of bombs without delivery systems, i hardly see that as a major threat. Bear in mind we have 160 trident missiles already (each with an 8 bomb payload). whats going on? madness!

what about the french? we shouldnt raise our amount just because they have, as if we are ever going to have a nuclear war with france

If they built mini subs, they could easily go up the Seine, Rhone, Dordogne and Loire.

Thats a good question, its a oxymoron. Countries don't want others to have nuclear weapons, but they themselves build them like it was candy. North Korea still has missiles, they aren't continental missiles to strike the US but far enough to hit US allies like Japan, South Korea.

If we dont have our own deterant we would then be relying on the Americans, its not just North Korea either there are many other countries that are not that stable including Russia that have nucleur capability, finally can you tell me what the world will be like in 20 years? we have to look and think long term.

wrong. Blair wants to build 3 more nuclear [as in nuclear powered] subs, as the existing 4 would be obsolete by 2024. no mention to build more nuclear missiles.

Yip they've all gone nuts!!! Time he hung up his boots.. Need to have a serious look at our local politics and stop going out looking to antagonise all and sundry. That's not even taking into account the cost. Let China and Russia deal with the Koreans and stop bombing defenceless oil rich country's and we would not be in this position. We have the technology to all but do away with oil based fuel but we don't apply it...
