Depends on who calls me sweetie, or what context it's used in! LOL That's the beauty of language. We can take a compliment and make it condescending or we can take an insult and it's meant to be a compliment.

As a general rule I don't mind sweetie, honey, darlin', dear.....why? Because the person could be calling me worthless, b*tch, c*nt, stupid or worse. I'll take positivity anywhere I can get it.

Not by people I don't know. That just ticks me off when someone I have seen before calls me sweetie or baby or anything like that.

Yes....I enjoy when The One I Love calls me "sweetie" or "honey"...as well as a few other terms of endearment.

I was called that today at work by a much younger co worker,
it didn't faze me one way or the other, I must be immune. I
could have been called something far worse and not true.

Yes and Babe I do not know why but most guys I dated called me that and I started to like it. My mom always told my boyfriends" I did give her a name,you could use it."
