I have had alot of pregnancy symptoms for 3 weeks now, like nausea, cramping, sore breasts and they feel fuller, mood swings(crying more),light headache, very tired, and indigestion for 2 weeks. I have been on ortho novum 1/35 for 8 months and never had a problem. I haven't missed one pill either. My periods are always 4 days and the first 2 days are usually heavy, but this month it was one day only and very light. I had my one day period on Wednesday and I went to get a blood test on Thursday and it was NEGATIVE.
This is my second pregnancy and I so feel very pregnant now. My first pregnancy my HCG levels were very low at first(they kept sending me to the hospital for ultrasounds).
I have started my new pack of pills and I still feel the same pregnancy symptoms.
Does anybody relate?

Give it a week and if you still have the symptoms then you should go back to your doctor.
It may be that you are pregnant, but your hormone levels are just too low to register right now. It might also be a false alarm, just go to the doctors again if the symptoms don't stop.

There are probably many things that can simulate the feeling of being pregnant. I am unfamiliar with ortho novum, but i'd wait another week or so and try the test again. Sometimes the amount of hormone is so small that it can give a false result, although many of the home pregnancy tests DO give a correct result after as many days as 2-5 after your due date of menstruation.

I would think after 3 weeks they'd be correct, but only time will tell.

Good luck =)

First if you think you are pregnant STOP taking the birth control pills as they could have an ill effect on the baby. You could have had a
Qualitative Pregnancy Blood Test performed which is like a urine pregnancy test but with blood, if your HCG levels are not above the set standard then you will pull a false negative, your best bet is to go back to the doctor and ask them if they perform Quantitative Pregnancy Blood Test those are way better, they measure your beta and HCG levels and then you have to go back a few days or a week later and retest and if the levels are higher than before then you are pregnant if not then you arent. best of luck to you and I wish you well. :)

Maybe you should take another test in a week or so. When you are on the pill periods don't represent anything, they're just like a sympathy bleed (pointless!).
Obvioulsy we're not professionals though...
Just take it easy for a while, try another test (or 5) at home in a few days, if the feelings don't go away in a week or so and the tests are still negative then see your doctor anyway and see if you can find out what is up, if it's not a baby!
Good luck x

if the blood test was negative then you have to believe it the hcg is in you pee anyway? i think. the blood test would definately be accurate, i have felt pregnant before but it could be linked to anything maybe your pill, go see your doctor

Explain the exact way you feel to the doctor and if he says he could not conclude on anything, try another doctor. and forget not to pray.
