Subject: THREE CHEERS FOR AUSTRALIA!
At least there is one country who has the guts to speak out to protect its people and attempt to withhold its peace!
THREE CHEERS FOR AUSTRALIA!
>
>> Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday
>> to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to
>> head off potential terror attacks.
>>
>> A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to
>> Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and
>> his ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.
>>
>> Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that
>> some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not
>> accept that Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by
>> parliament.
>>
>> "If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law
>> or a theocratic state, then Australia is not for you," he said on
>> national television.
>>
>> "I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws
>> governing people in Australia , one the Australian law and another the
>> Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law,
>> independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the
>> opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then,
>> that's a better option," Costello said.
>>
>>
>> Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said
>> those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other
>> country.
>>
>> Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who
>> did not want to accept local values should "clear off ".
>>
>> "Basically, people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want
>> to live by Australian values and understand them, well, then they can
>> basically clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some
>> Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies
>> monitoring the nation's mosques.
>>
>> USA and Canada ..... ARE YOU LISTENING?
>>
>> Quote:
>>
>> IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired
>> of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or
>> their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced
>> a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.
>>
>> However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the
>> "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that
>> our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor
>> do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming
>> to Australia .
>>
>> However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our
>> country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
>>
>> This idea of Australia being a multi-cultural community has served only to
>> dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Australians, we
>> have our own culture, our own society, our own language and
>> our own lifestyle.
>>
>> This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials
>> and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We
>> speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic,
>> Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you
>> wish to become part of our society, then learn the language!
>>
>> Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing,
>> political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian
>> principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented.
>> It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools.
>> If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world
>> as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
>>
>> We will accept your beliefs and will not question why [you believe as you do]; all we ask is that
>> you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.
>>
>> If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don't like "A Fair Go", then
>> you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
>>
>> We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really
>> don't care how you did things where you came from. By all means keep
>> your culture but do not force it on others.
>>
>> This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you
>> every opportunity to enjoy all this, but once you are done complaining,
>> whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs,
>> or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other
>> great Australian/Canadian/US/British, et al, freedom; "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE."
>>
>> If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here.
>> You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.
>>
>> Pretty easy really, when you think about it! I figure if we all keep
>> passing this to our friends (and enemies) it will also, sooner or later,
>> get back to the complainers; lets all try, please!
>>
>> PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE; PERHAPS WE CAN CREATE A GROUND SWELL AND
>> SEND OUR POLITICIANS THE MESSAGE THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF US BELIEVE AS
>> THE AUSSIES DO.......

I guess if Muslims do not like office parties..then they shud not attend it. I wonder if mohammed said stop others from other religions from doing what they are doing. If am right...he advised muslims to avoid such gatherings and rejoin the group once the topic/event is over.
I think modern clerics need to read the Quran a bit more properly as a book can be viewed AND understood in different ways.
I don't think Islamic countries have changed their government plans to agree with Bahai beliefs.... so britain shud not ban such events.
It is upto the person wheather to go with the general public or not. Its a free country!

Flags mean something. The national flag is only to be used in front of national institutions. This comes from the days when the King, or major Lords would have a banner by them, showing who they were. People in the United States began using their flag as a patriotic gesture. This idea has spread somewhat, but, it is still illegal in many countries for a private citizen to fly a national flag - because, they are not an arm of the Crown/government. Technically, flying the flag is saying: "I'm the King." You aren't, so, you can only fly your own flag, if you are entitled to one.

Hey mate, it's happening here in Australia too. Daycare centres have banned Christmas celebrations this year, some city centers have banned decorations going up & our schools are cutting back on chrissy presentations/concerts. I have a fair idea why but wont say it here our of fear of being attacked for it. There you have it.....fear.
I refuse to believe it is for cost cutting. Not when the majority of celebrations are voluntered by community members at no cost to our council, schools or through government grants.
I'm not so sure that it is JUST because of the muslims either, maybe a portion of it is but not all.

Lets get this clear, no muslims or any other non christians have complained.
This happened during the world cup with the 'they tried to ban the flag' lie.
X sends out an e-mail to 10 people saying 'they are upset by nativity scenes/the english flag'.
Those 10 people get worried and pass it on to 10 more.
The original source gets forgotten.
More people get worried. Nice, well meaning people who don't want to offend anyone.
Before you know it its 'a well known fact' and people are talking about it and its general knowledge so it must be true.
And the Nazi's used the same tactic in WW2.
Wise up, people, no one objects to the nativity scene.

You are quite correct in what you say, it's just that the Brits accept any **** levelled at them and will not stick up for their rights. Our stupid Government knows this, but in the old days, Gordon Brown and Blair would have been "Tarred and Feathered" and hung out to dry by their balls. Unless we all stick together and get rid of the wankers England will surely go down the tubes. Send all the muslims back to that shithole Pakistan, let them see if they can get a handout every week from their own post office. What a bunch of idiots we are to stand for it.

That's crazy!!! Christmas is a religious festival, granted, but the majority of Muslims chose to live in Britain, and making that decision, they should accept the customs and traditions of the British people. I lived in the East End of London for a while, and was shocked to see road signs in English and Urdu or Hindu, not entirely sure what language it was. But the point is these people move to Britain, they should at least make an effort to speak the language and inter-grate into the British society, not demand things be changed to suit their religion and their way of life.
A blackboard was always called a blackboard because it is black, this is not a racial slur, it is just a descriptive name for something, yet this has changed, because of racial pressure.
I am white and have no problems with Asians, Africans, or anyone from anywhere, just if you chose to live in Britain, adopt the language at least, and accept British religious traditions and holidays. You don't have to celebrate the religious traditions, I accept that, but it is unacceptable that we fore go our religious festivities to keep politicians happy.
The line has to be drawn somewhere.

Muslims don't have a problem with Christmas or with Christian symbolism; after all they recognise Jesus as a prophet.
It tends to be non-religious people who try and neutralise Christian celebrations, using other religious groups as an excuse.
Don't blame Muslims, blame the people who want to take the Christ out of Christ-mas.

It's partly stingy rotten scroogey companies, that don't want to shell out any money that are using the religion excuse. They should be named and shamed on a website, so people can choose not to buy their products for being such jerks. It is up to workers to submit a joint complaint to management and stand up for some Christmas cheer and for Jesus who brought us peace and good will.

Don't let it happen without a fight! Go to one of the center squares with a small decorated Christmas tree, someone dressed as Father Christmas, have a sign that says "Happy Christmas!," and sing carols. Make sure you alert the media and have an intelligent spokesman ready to speak. Those of you who are Christians go into the boss and insist on having an office party, even if you need to concede to calling it the "annual holiday party." I don't have a problem with Muslims immigrating, but I do have a problem with us having to abolish all our traditions and celebrations because some of them don't like it. TOO BAD FOR THEM!!!!! You shouldn't have to change for them; they should assimilate to your society.
