I work and go to school. I don't make much money. A Mary Kay lady is trying to convince to join and sell. She says I can make money and work only 2 hours a week on it. She says Mary Kay is great to sell. Is it?

Only you can determine if you will be good at this... But, the product does sell itself. When women like the product they are incredibly loyal to it. I sell it, love it and have found most of my customers seek me out.

But, don't get me wrong. If you want to make more than the little bit of extra money that comes easy, you will have to do some work. If you are motivated and have good time-management, just a few hours a week is not unheard of. it is possible. Basically, I do phonecalls throughout the week to book for the weekend... Then, I work however many bookings I have. Each Skincare class genereates $200-$300 on average. So yes, its good money, but not fast, easy money.

I think it is worth a try!!!!! Ask her about the 90% buy back guarantee if you purchase inventory.

Mary Kay is a pyramid organization. Unless you have a HUGE social network of friends with lots of discretionary money, stay away from it. The products may be good, but so are other competing products, at stores, where people can shop & compare. You might make a little money at first, but less and less as time goes by, not worth the time and aggravation. Only a gifted few do well with these ventures. Get a part time job instead.Or take a course that teaches you a skill.

Yes it is possible to make money by selling Mary Kay. You purchase the start up kit for $100.00 and that includes full size product for demo and selling aids, since you work and go to school I am sure that you know alot of people. To earn your 50% discount you are asked to place an order of $200.00 wholesale every quarter. You can choose to stock inventory or not, it is not required at all no matter what anyone tells you. You work at your own pace, the average skin care class, if you choose to do classes, is about $200.00 in retail sales. The product is reasonably priced so it is not difficult to sell at all.

I have been selling MK since May of this year and have grown a steady business.

It takes knowing a lot of people and not being afraid to network and sell to family and friends.
Personally, I think its not worth it, but if you like the stuff and feel ok selling to friends, then go for it.

First u got to spend 300 bucks on the stuff , then resale it to make your profits.
My sister tried it and she was left with the products and less sales.
Avon is better to get into cause it is cheaper and u can order samples for yourself.

the more you work at it, the more money you will make...just like anything else. you won't make much money only working 2 hours a week doing anything...
