I just moved from Japan last month.
I already have some friends in here. but I sitill feel lonely and have a homesick, too.
Im live in home-stay w/ my AU family.
Because of my poor English, I often feel anybody talking about me , feel that they put the bad mouth on me......
I know that they are very nice to me,, but I often feel that way..

What should I do???

AU Uchuujin, LOL (By the way, you spelled Uchujin with an extra 'n' there).

Making friends in a new country is never a snappy process, especially if you're not comfortable with the language. My advice is not to let that scare you. If you think they're bad mouthing you or making jokes about you, then that will not help you master the language better.

Hang out with Australians and other nationalities, not just your Japanese friends. Also, use the most useful sentence to learn anything: "Can you explain it to me, please?" You might feel like you're so stupid not to know, or that you're burdening them with your questions, but you will not learn anything otherwise.

If this is your first trip to Australia or overseas, then you're most likely to feel homesick in your first month, or even year. My first trip overseas, I went home the first chance I get (8 months away), then later I go home every 6 months, then every year, now I visit my family overseas every few years (3 years so far).

It's normal to feel homesick. If you're in Australia and enrolled in an education institution, you'll find that most of them will offer counselling services for International students. I suggest that you take advantage of that. Otherwise, try to talk it out with your Homestay family or the friends that you've made.

I am a South African and have lived in 5 different countries. I moved to Australia just over a year ago. It's always hard to adapt to a new country, but just try and relax, be yourself and be interested in learning about the culture of the people around you. People will soon accept you for who you are if they see a genuine interest from your side. Keep your heart light and open and I'm sure you'll fit in very soon. Good luck....

Just because you don't understand what they're saying, that does not mean they are talking badly about you. They could be just talking about general things. However, I can see your point of view.
Be yourself. Let them see you for who you are inside. Ask them about their culture, and if they're interested, tell them about yours. (I would be interested in hearing about that myself.)
If you would like it, I would be willing to try to teach you some English online. Feel free to email me.
