Yes, I was discriminated against in my current job because I am white. They really, really did not want to hire me because of my race and even marked me down on points I obviously should have had during the hiring process (I have a Master's Degree in a related field and received the same points for education as someone with only an Associates in an unrelated field)--in addition to the racial preference points I couldn't get because I'm white (they award 25 pts. for being of a particular race). I only got the job because the two people (non-white) above me in points declined to accept the job. Once I got here, everyone was nice and I haven't been discriminated against now that I've proved myself, however.

Yes. I am white. I have had people say incredibly assuming, cruel things to me, simply because I was white. I also lost getting a job once because they needed to hire a black person to fill a quota (I later learned the truth through the grape-vine - I was the most qualified, but the wrong color).

I can honestly say I am kind to all people regardless of race. That's how I was brought up, plain and simple. I think anyone of any race can carry racial bias and predjudice. I think anyone can hate people of another race unfairly. I think anyone can be a victim of it, regardless of race.
