I wish I knew someone who knows how, I am a visual learner. That would help a lot; if I don't find one I may have to fork out the money and attend a class.

The pattern is for a baby sock, which is a smart thing to start with. The construction is the same as a sock that will fit an adult and you'll be done a lot faster.
