It's a desperate attempt to be suave and popular.
Really, after they master the ability to be funny and charming they make popular adults...That is only if they mature.

They want to look cool and show off. Sometimes it is funny and sometimes they look like they are trying too hard

IDK but my guy-friend, Dylan is always immature when he's trying to be funny. And he is! He's HYSTERICAL! OMG! He's hott, too. Even if I didn't think he was hott, I'd still think he's funny!
