If anything is left on clothes after they're washed, it gets "cooked" in by the heat of the clothes dryer.

You may need to add more detergent and/or wash the shirts in hot water if you're not already doing that. If you're using a bargain detergent you may want to spring for a good brand. The bargain detergents don't always clean as well as the "real" brands do.

You could also try putting detergent directly on problem area before throwing the shirts into the wash.

Most washers have the pre-soak cycle, which could be useful if you have problem shirts.

Your problem is that you're not getting the shirts clean enough, and then when you iron the heat sends off the odor.

Also, not that you haven't tried everything; but if there's any chance a better antiperspirant would work better you may want to consider switching brands; so the problem with the shirts wouldn't occur as often.

Buy some baking soda and make a thick paste with some plain white vinegar and a little water. On the inside of the shirt spread the paste and leave it on for several hours or overnight. It should not damage the garment. Be sure to wash the garment in warm water, cool to rinse. If it is dark and you have to wash it in cold, you may have to do this again.

In order to get all body soil out of clothes you have to use the hottest water the fabric will allow. I also use real bleach on the whites especially cotton.
