There are too many to name. Dont even think about the 80s, the acoustic guitar pretty much wasnt used in that decade.
Girl or Norweigan Wood by the Beatles has a nice acoustic guitar
sound. Dreamboat Annie by Heart is nice.

Wow. So many to chose from. It really depends on what you're looking for.
All of Jack Johnson's music. Heavenly guitar music. Great lyrics and this smooth surfer vibe - and his voice seem to really complement the music and the guitar, rather than fight with it.
John Mayer is also great for current guitar driven music.
Of course there is always Clapton - the ultimate guitar god. Tears in Heaven, You Look Wonderful Tonight, etc., etc., etc.
Don't discount the blues...Seriously - BB King, Buddy Guy, fierce guitars, but so deep and real that you just feel it to your core. There's definitely something beautiful about the blues.

I am more of a 80s/90s metal head, but a song I have a good time playing and sounds great on a acoustic guitar is Broken from Seather. Plus its not hard to play with a little practice.

the sharp hint of new tears by dashboard confessionals is a good song on the guitar...the lyrics may not mean much but the music is amazing..
