Attention Youngsters: Do a little research about Iran-Contra and the political appointees involved and you'll see that the comparision is basically equal.
Thinking that sending a couple fresh faces over to Iraq to write a Non-biased report (Baker/Hamilton) for the Resident in Chief is what happened is not the case. Tommorrow we are gonna be spoon fed nothing more than more-of-the-same.
The Architects of that report are the same puppets of the men behind the curtain that made the shady deals in the Iran-Contra affair under the First Bush/Reagan Regime. Rubber Stamp, Cookie Cutter adversaries are all this Administration can offer Congress because Bush does not play well with others. 2008 cannot come soon enough--

Gates nomination was sent to the floor of the Senate for an up or down vote, he may or may not be approved and only time will tell if he can perform to 1/10 of Donald Rumsfeld's ability. Rumsfeld was the best Secretary of defense this country has ever known and the only problem he had was all the Liberal leaning Generals who sabotaged his every move!!
