Is your dsl modem receiving a signal? Check your manual to make sure that the indicator lights are flashing and acting as if it has a signal. Then try a different cable to your computer...

The first step is to determine if you have a Network Interface Card (it will accept an RJ-45 connector that looks like a phoen connection but is slightly larger). If it does, you will need to activate it by going to the Control Panel and selecting Network Connections.

If you do not have a network Interface Card, you will need to puchase one (Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) and install it.

Shut down your computer, unplug its network connection. Wait 5 minutes. Plug back into the network and start your computer. It should work fine.

Ok, you need a ethernet card, if you don't have it. But if you have it, you need to intall the driver so it can work. Try this

i agree with Freman.
but also try to restart your pc just to see if it will sync connection.. if anything confirm that your connection properties are set correctly per manual
