It all depends on the individual, our own material wantings, our own selfish desires, and our own inconsiderate lusts.
I believe that in order to find a true, full happiness, not an empty shell of a happiness that can easily crumble in the careless and ungrateful hands of mankind, one would have to let go of every selfish desire; the Middle Way: the way of life found between the two opposite extremes of self-denial and desire. Seek only what you need and nothing else, but do not deprive yourself of too much, for then life would begin to loose its material meaning.
Bottom line, the ultimate key to happiness is probably different for all of us; one person's idea of happiness would be to find true love and live a long, full life while someone else may think of happiness as committing mass murder and succeeding in world domination. So in the end, there is no 1 key to happiness for everyone, because then not everyone would be happy and satisfied if there was one sole possibility; we each have our own key to happiness, which we must first take hold of, then use to unlock the door within ourselves that conceals us to this material Earth.

Serve God!!!!!!!!!
Ecclesiastes 12: 9-14
The Whole Duty of Man
9 And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright—words of truth. 11 The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars[b] are like well-driven nails, given by one Shepherd. 12 And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.

the ultimate key to happiness is smiling. a smile is contagious. did you know that? by you smiling to other people and then having them smiling back makes you feel better. at least i hope w/ you. first you feel good about making someone smile and then they feel good because you made them smile which i hope makes you happy. also being around positive people and people that believe in hope and that there's a purpose to life. Just try to show your love to everyone and they'll show you love back.
