ok. so me &&my friend have to do a video of a famous fossil discovery and we need some tips of how to make it look like a "professional hollywood movie" type thing. i dont have the setting or anything tho. thx.

well, you do need a good camera to do it. buy some costumes and you would need a setting, it'll be hard with out a good setting. look for a place you could do it at. like moutains or a park, somewhere that looks similar to the fossil discovery.

Can you use powerpoint? Set the still images to the soundtrack of "2001 Space Odyssey" (Also Sprach Zarathustra) where the music builds to a climax as the fossil discovery is revealed as earth-shattering. So each slide shows the steps of preparation (such as the map, the footsteps of the archeologists walking to the site, the entrance of the cave or exterior of the site, etc.) In between is a blackout as you fade in and out, or with a caption describing the history of what took place. And the final revelation is the fossil.

I would storyboard it using pictures/captions and/or powerpoint. Then put it together from there with the music in the background.
