When I was a little girl my dog and I found a Wolverine hole, did not know what was in there just started leaving food for it, eventually it would come out and eat while I was there, it was so cool that I invited some friends to see my new friend that I intended to tame and bring home as a pet. Well eventually I was able to feed it out of my hand but not touch it so I asked my all Wise animal info father what he thought I should do, he calmly asked me to take him to see my new friend, and darn if it didn't come out when I called it and walked right up to me, Dad was a tall thin man and was very kind to animals, as he was a farmer, he was shocked at how I had made such a dangerous new friend! Still he said nothing, when asked what he thought I should name it he simply looked down to me and quietly said "death" I never went to see my friend again, Dad explained to me that there was nothing more dangerous in the Forrest than that critter and I was darn lucky that it did not bite me but it would have! It was pregnant and he knew that I would have gone in and tried to catch myself one or try to play with them

I have never seen one personally, but here is what wikipedia says about them:
The wolverine is extremely strong for its size and has been known to kill animals as large as moose.[1] Its preference for reindeer has caused it to be hunted significantly in areas depending economically on caribou herds, and its status is sometimes in danger in such regions. It is generally not aggressive toward humans, preferring to avoid human contact. However, because a wolverine will attack an animal caught in a trap, early trappers often tried to kill them. They have been filmed capturing kills from other predators, such as polar bears or a wolf pack. Wolverines are the most ferocious of the Mustelidae family.
