the mags were not in the open but in his desk drawer.... my confusion lays in the fact that other female co-workers have lingerie magazine sitting out in the open....and i know that females look at those magazines in a different way than men....but who knows what peoples sexual preferance is now a days!!! i just dont think it is fair...if my friend cant have those mags neither should the females be allowed to have similar material!?!? opinions please

Absolutely. The workplace is suppose to be free of any kind of materiel which is questionable, objectional, offensive, or non work related. There is one standard which is supposed to be applied. Check your office policy on the matter for clear direction...and tell the ladies to take the objectional material home or throw it out. Some companies do not even allow screen savers of music celebrities...given where that can go.

you cant say everyone else is doing it and expect it to be ok...you need to set the example....what your telling me sounds childish in nature...your being paid to work...so work.
