Im trying to do my science fair project and i have to use everything in the metric system. Im trying to figure out what the difference is between a liter and a gram. What way can I convert them into being the same thing? What do they both measure?

A gram measures how heavy something is. Unless something is very small, people normally talk about Kilograms, rather than grams. 1 Kilogram is 1000 times bigger than a single gram.
A liter is the way we measure liquids. 1 litre is a bit bigger than 2 pints. Just as a Kilogram can be divided up into 1000 grams, so too can a liter be divided up into 1000 mililiters.

A gram is a measure of weight. A paper clip is roughly a gram. A liter is a measure of volume (liquid). They don't measure the same thing.
