Wasn't there a move to create sensible shoes with space for their toes? I don't know if there is space, but that narrow point looks like mutant toes, roots, are growing into them!

pointed toes on shoes is a very fashionable, sophisticated thing. It started around the 1930s, and would be impossible to use as "skiis" because the heel would get caught in the snow. The shoes are made long so women don't have to squeeze their toes into the point of the shoe.

Pointed shoes are just the Fashion "It" thing for women..we love 'em in fact i have about 5 pairs of em in diff styles and colors..it's about creating a new shape, and style rather than just some certain types of shoes. Of course, women want variation on their shoes..different styles..different sense of expressing themselves. Well, sure those shoes can be quite handful and even uncomfortable to wear..but it's stylish ..it makes you feet narrow and thats sexy and sophisticated and different. And it goes with everything, jeans, cocktail dresses, miniskirts, tights, etc..Why those pointy shoes are famous? maybe because Jinny (Genie) Aladdin thing is the one who created the style..and people just went back to that style..and today..it's just a phenomenon..I love 'em ;)

Unfotunately women can not control the shoes that come on market. (Just think how many shoes wouldn't be available if they would send out "Would you buy these?" notices.) But buying them is their choice and unfortunately retailers take this as a sign that we like them and keep making them! I hate those pointy toes!! So I choose not to buy them.

Jajajajajaja that’s hilarious ya I have no idea how women stand things they bug me to death I can only stand sandals if theirs snow on the ground ill be reluctant to put on close shoes
Have you ever read witches? In that book they have to use pointed shoes because they have no tows and the other shoes don’t fit on them right that always comes in to my mind when I see pointed shoes I’m reminded of that book (they could be witches) jajajajajaja

those are special weapons for in case they are harassed, they can just kick you in the netherlands. some are even steel pointed.
