Yes, it is best to eat smaller meals often through out the day than to eat three large meals. With the hormone change you probably can't hold all the food.

Everybody is different, but I was the same way. I am currently pregnant also, almost 8 weeks, my second child. I learned to snack throughout the day. It helps you with your nausea and gives you the energy you need. If you are really concerned ask your doctor or go to a nearby wic clinic. They have all sorts of pamphlets, answers and nutritional help available. Plus my doctors advised me to snack through out the day and eat light meals. I've always heard that, that is what you are suppose to do when your pregnant. Your not suppose to pig out. Yes you need to gain weight, but a healthy weight. Most girls say.. I'm eating for 2... and go WAY over board. Your body will tell you what you need. Listen to your cravings. I constantly feel full now that I am pregnant and found that it will only get worse as things start shifting inside of you and more room is taken up by your uterus. Just this morning I could only take a few bites of my toast, but now I am about to have a wonderful Enchilada dinner after I munched on some Salad with chicken for lunch. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

I am only about 8 weeks. I am experiencing the same thing. Only it's worse with liquids for me. The only thing I can drink is water. I get full fast too. I would think it varies between people though. As long as you are eating throughout the day it is still healthy. In fact the doctors told me it was better to eat small throughout the day...even when you don't feel hungry than three a day. Oh and congrats.

Yup, hormones. You wait untill your 20 weeks, you wont get enough to eat. just make sure that you eat smart. Healthy foods are your best bet any time you eat... prenatle vitamisn will help when you dont have an apitite, baby will grow even if you dont eat. babaies will eat thier mothers to death, they dont know your maulnutritioned! They just want the nutrients, and will take all they can even if you are left with none. Take those vitamins!!!

This is perfectly normal, don't worry! It will get better in the second trimester, you'll see. Like the others said, don't forget to take your prenatal vitamins and you should be ok. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a blood test, just to see if you're not anemic.
Best of luck to you and your baby!
